Recently someone hacked and changed my email log in address on my playstation account. I contacted support and got them to change it back (after all the security questions) However, when I checked my account I see that within minutes of hacking my account the person emptied the account balance by purchasing 2 copies of Resident evil 0 each on a different dodgy email account.
I told the chat rep this and he claimed that he could not see those transactions and that I should dispute the charges with my bank.
That is of course ridiculous. There is no bank involvement whatsoever. The issue is whoever hacked my account emptied my PSN account balance, they made no charges to my bank account. I cannot understand the attitude of the "support" guy. The purchases are clearly visible in the transaction history section of my account page and were obviously not made by me.
This type of thing could not happen if you did not make it so easy for a hacker to change my email address. Why would you allow such a thing? Changing email should require full ID verification not just a simple click.
Im not sure what I can do now.
