Hacked Account and the process to recover over $200 worth of fraudulent charges

My account was hacked at the end of May.  I called my bank to inquire about the charges and immediately cancelled my card.  The bank started the process of investigating the charges and refunded me $204.70.  I tried to access my online account about 3 weeks later and received an error that my account was banned.  After talking to Sony I was told I had to pay the $204.70 to unlock my account.  During the chat, which I saved, I was told I could receive a credit to my wallet for $204.70.  However, when I called in to pay the fee my refund was denied.  I explained that I spoke with individuals prior to the 30 days and the Sony representative agreed to process my refund.  I was provided a case number and was told to check my email in 3 - 5 days.

Fast forward 10 days and no refund has been processed.  After talking to a new representative I found out that the previous representative did not clearly articulate my case to the Sony refund department.  I was provided with a new case number and a reassurance that my refund will be paid.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll see those funds in the next couple days.

I post this so that people are aware that your first course of action when you see fraudulent charges is to contact Sony and then your bank.  I will update this once my refund is processed.
