Sony currently (Feb 4th 2016) doesnt allow users to change their country/region. People said to overcome this is to create a brand new account and set that account's country to their desired location, but this means I must re-add all my previous friends, lose my current trophy level (13), lose previously purchased downloadable content (dlc) and digital games, and that means I lose my username "Mo3d2" which is what everyone knows my by. When i first purchased a PS3 back in Dubai, I created an account (Mo3d2) which had its country set to United Arab Emirates, however when I recently moved to the United States to study abroad and purchased a PS4. After purchasing a PS4, I signed into my Mo3d2 account and tried activating a 12 month playstation plus code, unable to use the playstation plus code after multiple tries, I tried making a brand new account (Mo3d2Ashraf) with the country set to United States and it worked activating the code there. Thus to play online I have to connect Mo3d2Ashraf to Mo3d2 to be able to play online with others. The problem doesnt stop here, I cannot make any purchases/use codes without having to go to Mo3d2Ashraf, and being unable to buy ingame money (silver in Destiny). Also when I started Destiny and my friend wanted to refer me as a friend so we can get bonus exclusive items, he was unable to as "I didnt own the Taken King expansion" under Mo3d2 as I had to activate it on Mo3d2Ashraf, which ticked me off a bit. I do not see the problem of allowing users to be able to change their country, or making the playstation store availabe to every region instead of having designated sections. I would like it if someone who worked with Sony would be able to see this message and reply/solve this problem. And to other users who are experiencing the same problem please leave a comment or like to show your support towards this thread. Thank you for your time.
