Hello, I'm writing this because a friend got his account banned. He has been a PlayStation lover since PS1 and has owned every console since! He has had an account for years and this past week it was banned due to offensive psn name. Now his name was poundurmouth or something close. But he used to be an amatur fighter/wrestler etc so the reasoning by bind the name was a fighting reference not sexual like I think I was reported for. Now I understand that it can be taken that way and so I can see why the name was banned however years of progress was lost!!!! Trophies everything!! I played games with this friend and his brother, but due to him losing his account he put so much time into he immediately traded all things PlayStation in for an Xbox. And now so has his brother and his best friend. So not only has he lost his progress bIt I lost several friends to connect with and play with on psn. So I ask why is your policy to delete the profile rather then if reported force them to rename the profile so that hours/days/years of gameplay, progress, and trophies are not lost! Due to not having a policy in place to save an account and rename it, you have lost 3 life long Sony PlayStation customers who have previously argued to friends over how Sony is better then Xbox. I too would join them in switching if I every lost my account.. Can't you slavage his account and force him to rename it? PlayStation should exchange his Xbox1 he just purchased for a new PlayStation 4 to bring him back to Sony! You guys should really rethink you policy on banning accounts due to names!! Precious time building a strong account can be lost over misconceptions so easliy due to the current policy...
