My wife and I each own a PS4 in the same house, using the same internet connection. We play Star Wars Battlefront online fine if we join other games (multiplayer online), but if we try to join on each other so we are in the same game, we lose connection to PSN...strange, since we can still party voice chat just fine. My wife is able to join all of my other friends (including mutual friends), as am I, but we cannot join each other online.
This only started happening after the PS4 software upgrade today.
So, we refreshed our licenses, rebuilt the databases, hard reset the cable modem and router.
We contacted EA support..no additional input 
Waited for almost two hours on Sony live chat...must be busy after the upgrade today....
