This is a long message and I'm going to preface it by saying that the PSN on my PS3 has always had problems. I seemingly had something that worked that fixed it, but the same errors that had previously given me issues have all come back. Now, let's get to the meat of this incredibly long explanation.
I have consistently gotten these SIX error codes while trying to use PSN, and they are as follows:
8002a548
80710102
80710b36
80710092
80028e01
80710B23 (This is a new one)
Now they all seem to be related to the exact same thing and all of their solutions (which are **bleep**) involve simply resetting the system and the router / modem, which does nothing. Yes I have already spoken to a support representative -- two of them in fact. The first tech support person did almost nothing to help and the second one was significantly more helpful. The troubleshooting tips that they gave me were as follows:
- Simply do an Internet connection test, which I did and it showed no errors.
- Then they had me run through typical internet setup until I got to primary and secondary DNS, to which the primary was set to 8.8.8.8 and secondary was 8.8.4.4
- DHCP was "Do not set," Proxy server "Do not use," and UPNP was "Enabled."
Now, all of these things seemed to fix my problem and for a long time I could play Dark Souls 1 without any PSN interruptions. But here recently the problems came back and roughly every 1-5 minute(s) into gameplay I'm getting disconnected from the PSN and sent back to the title screen.
I'm almost 100% positive that nothing can be done to help, but I thought, "Hey, let's try and go to the Playstation Support forums anyway" because most of the other support forum threads are people just swearing and cussing at Sony for how much they suck in regards to PSN on PS3. Honestly I have no noticeable issues with PSN on PS4 but I like to go back to Dark Souls 1 every now and again to play with my friends.
So, there's that. I'm not holding my breath on a helpful reply, though.
